The Storage Team – Chosen Charities in St. Helens

The Storage Team continues to support a number of charities within the St. Helens area by offering discounted storage. As a prominent St. Helens based business, The Storage Team has always done its best to help and support other local businesses where possible, especially charities and non-profit organisations, who directly look to help the community.

Kevin Thompson, Managing Director of The Storage Team said, “we have built up close relationships with a number of charities within the St. Helens area and support them by offering discounted storage. For us, it is important to support these organisations in this way as they are a real benefit to the community.

The Honeyrose Foundation

The HoneyRose Foundation was founded by Lynn Duffy in memory of three of her close friends, who died of terminal illnesses. The HoneyRose Foundation was established in 2004 and continues to grow daily as they help more people. They hope that the number of special wishes we are able to grant continues to grow. So far, over 3000 people have benefited from special wishes granted by The HoneyRose Foundation. The HoneyRose Foundation is a national United Kingdom charity, they’ve received applications from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as England. The HoneyRose Foundation is the only UK charity that helps grant special wishes to adults (age 40+) from all over the United Kingdom.

Food Bank St. Helens

In 2006, Food Bank St. Helens we were asked by the local authority to take on the running of the homeless centre in the town and have transformed that from a basic soup kitchen to a fully functioning drop in centre, providing meals, showers, clothing, laundry and a place of safety to the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the borough. Now called ‘Hope House’, the homeless centre also offers a multi-faceted service providing advocacy, advice, guidance and support to those who need it and are often the first point of reference and signpost for people to engage with other agencies, treatment services and other community support in the borough.

Nugent Care

Nugent Care is a charitable organisation which offers a diverse range of support to adults and children across Liverpool and throughout the North West of England. The origins of Nugent Care date back to the 1800’s and the pioneering work of Father James Nugent (1822-1905) in relation to child welfare, relief from poverty and social reform. The work of Father Nugent had a dramatic impact on the lives of thousands of vulnerable people and his work continues to this day through Nugent Care.
